David MÉRO, a native of Brittany, is originally from the town of Auray (Morbihan). He enjoys scuba diving and sailing in his spare time—whether it’s a genoa sail pulling him out to sea to cruise alongside dolphins in the bow, or a paraglider carrying him through the air to ride the thermals, then soaring alongside a griffon vulture.

A lover of the great outdoors and of the planet that shelters and nourishes us—from Brest to Papeete, from Saigon to Reykjavik, from Tromsoe to Pointe-Noire, from Dakar to Bucharest, and even from Horta to Cergy— he has developed a deep conviction regarding the vulnerability of the environment and the responsibility humanity bears today to preserve and restore it.

His professional challenge? To successfully reconcile the economic progress of the 21st century with human progress while preserving our environment.

Since 2023, he has been putting these multicultural experiences and his diverse engineering skills in procurement (sourcing, supply chain, competitive bidding & supplier relations, data management) to work for his clients.

Pockann Consulting’s mission is to provide clients with robust and essential services that will help guide their business models toward greater profitability and sustainability—without greenwashing.

David MÉRO : My Professional Career

Poc’han is the Breton name for the Atlantic puffin. Fratercula arctica in Latin—the “little brother of the Arctic”—symbolizes these values and the challenges of Transition. It thrives between two worlds: it belongs to the penguin family, yet it flies and dives up to 15 meters to fish. The ocean is its life, but it returns to land to dig a burrow for nesting.

Its food consists of small fish known as “forage fish.” The overfishing of these stocks—particularly for aquaculture—creates competition and makes them vulnerable.

Pairs are loyal and equal. In fact, there is no visible difference between males and females. Their southernmost breeding range extends as far as the Sept-Îles archipelago in Brittany. Vulnerable to climate change, this colony could disappear in less than a decade…

Once again straddling two worlds—the world before and the world after—it is up to Humanity to shape the Transition!
